I got the idea from sleep hallow designs. I have been trying to be frugal so we bought the pattern and passed on the kit..... it was 80 some dollars from the local quilt shop. This one used two fat quarters for the face, two different fat quarters for the hats and three different boas and of course the buttons and other items to make the face. I'm going to get started on my <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Santa</span> one! I didn't feel up to digging through the crawl space for my <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Halloween</span> decor so I just took a drive to my local <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">JoAnn</span> Fabric's to get some fabric to make pumpkins. These pumpkins are great because you can use home <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">dec</span> fabric...... you know those small squares of the old stuff they can't get any more???? Well that is what I'm talking about. This weekend they are marked half price which brings them to $1 a piece. So of course that just made my day! I would suggest letting the container sit for a while to make sure the paint has a chance to dry. I did have a small amount of over spray on the inside that I had to clean off with a paper towel. </div><div></div><div>Once I took the tape off and cleaned out the inside I placed three small tea lights in the container. We have started to get the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">garage</span> cleaned out and stuff to the basement. Tonight I was able to work on a simple table runner (which has no pattern) for my mother in law's birthday. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to find safety pins to get it quilted on my machine. Once things get settled stay tuned for more pictures of the house and and the quilts in it. </span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5pCENaXkln1Y9-lLf-Lo_6jC3pbXY1t4VCrioZpQIyvhO5cT0fnlJwAd_WhnWl8ULQHVap9lFjcl-dCkPVDMgIwivJqjcIoQjY_HWfcRWUoG5pfpQ15NdUx9uHu8ms7gDFCvo_u70UKQ/s1600/Front+of+house.jpg"><span style="font-family:arial;"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 318px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 224px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454259947189117794" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5pCENaXkln1Y9-lLf-Lo_6jC3pbXY1t4VCrioZpQIyvhO5cT0fnlJwAd_WhnWl8ULQHVap9lFjcl-dCkPVDMgIwivJqjcIoQjY_HWfcRWUoG5pfpQ15NdUx9uHu8ms7gDFCvo_u70UKQ/s320/Front+of+house.jpg" /></span></a></p><span style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span><br /><div><span style="font-family:arial;">I have just finished my nightly blogging check. Our bed is king size but I made the quilt larger than that because we fight over who gets more covers. I'm trying to <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">deiced</span> what color backing I would like to put on this quilt. I'm thinking black with maybe a different green out of the same line to border it instead of <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">piecing</span> it all together. Why not have two different types of quilts. Then the big question.... What color to quilt it with? I can't wait to quilt it and have it ready for our bed. </div><div> </div><div>This weekend I am going to a quilt retreat. This will be my first one but I have heard great reviews. I'm looking forward to have so much fun. Now the big thing is choosing what to take with me to work on? If anyone has suggestions please leave them! There are some different quilts posted below that have actually been finished and are being used! </div><div> </div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5446854601124203762" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB-HcKdbDulPy1X4TdIPROa-yza-V04JvuAApJUyK7WqlbA93AlCZp_vL0CIIIrHeJrCUD4Indk69aTrkKbfzxjvGTrdOYoDSdM2IDFGsPriNJrwUiZs6dtThQWOf-YRHHuKhTIVXfI0U/s320/023.JPG" /></div><br /><div>This was my first mystery night. Of course I have been hard at work for the past few week<br /></div><div>I made this quilt as a wall hanging to celebrate Valentine's day. It turned out wonderful!</div><div> </div><div> </div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 208px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 225px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436853576709095442" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS_u7za0Gkvn37TUx6F-cUIp8S_HrVyoeZMaGvx7ylj818uBtXxcbg09GGXqCLtdsRCMtI5dxvQEtJX-qIsXMRn5C3JYWdB2YFuVy_nmP1946FChUeyGGkNX-bd_lOhBe0UUndFGsCrE4/s320/003.JPG" /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiE8EF1uTPsx428Qk4vTDd9ZCmhwcVv60VmKspW-36XbIw1UgBaYTA8GmvIyDnDmGyzpuI67gDolD1AE4soakQmaCfrk8_L-8S4-54wFyq53dKq1tIvG4K53b20YuprBYZXZCfTEVgtGeI/s1600-h/042.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 148px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 182px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436854578035315778" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiE8EF1uTPsx428Qk4vTDd9ZCmhwcVv60VmKspW-36XbIw1UgBaYTA8GmvIyDnDmGyzpuI67gDolD1AE4soakQmaCfrk8_L-8S4-54wFyq53dKq1tIvG4K53b20YuprBYZXZCfTEVgtGeI/s320/042.JPG" /></a><br /></div></div><p>I recently made a large bag to carry all my junk in, including my small purse.... this bag is the diaper bag designed by Amy Butler. I left out all the extra pockets and the cell phone pocket because my cell phone will not fit. It has duck cloth <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">in between</span> the two layers so it will hold up no matter what I put in. </p><p> </p><p>For the past weeks it has been snowing here like crazy. In our back yard we have snow up to your hips at some places and up to your knees in the rest. The dogs are not so crazy about all the snow since they are so short. But it does give you time to sew and craft away. So please stay tuned to see what else I post soon! </p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
